The role of NGO's in photojournalism
Every year we prepare a symposium called The Tribune, which is set up as a space and opportunity to discuss photography and since Fotopub is oriented in documentary photography, the topics are from the field of photojournalism. Every year we try to find a current and interesting topic for this public discussion.
This year the topic is the role of NGO's in photojournalism. The panelists will discuss their views on how NGO's may influence what stories are published by the media. NGO's hire photograhers and journalists for assignements and thus choose topics. By sponsoring these asignments they may also influence how the stories are portrayed.
