about the workshops

Headquarters of the workshops is Cultural Centre Janez Trdina in the heart of Novo mesto. Most of the scheduled program is taking place there such as lectures, mentor hours (consulting), computer work. But attending our workshops is far from traditional schools, since our classrooms are often streets, local cafés, parks and countryside of Novo mesto. Workshops are set up at different levels, so mentors work with students with various backgrounds. In the week of workshops, students work on a project within a chosen theme. Our goal at the end of workshops is that students will gain new knowledge, information and above all enthusiasm for photographing after Fotopub.

Fotopub attracts very different students with various interests and reasons why they want to enrich their knowledge in photography, so we have prepared a program at 4 levels of foreknowledge. The work at all workshops is closely guided by a chosen mentor. All students will also choose which lectures they want to attend (considering the topic and level of difficulty). Students meet with their mentor upon individual arrangement.
