New Workshop at Fotopub
Documentary photography with modulated artificial lighting
Creation of a photographic story can base on different lighting techniques. One of possible approaches combines available sunlight or existing ambient light with artificial lighting devices, available to a photographer, such as studio or outdoor flashes, halogen and gas lights.
Sometimes spaces where photographer creates a story become more persuasive and alive with additional lighting. Which and how many lighting devices to use and how to combine all light sources into harmonious unity are permanent questions for each photographer. And these are the questions that the mentors Jože Maček and Branko Čeak will try to answer in their workshop.
The introductory projection and practical demonstration of studio and outdoor flashes and Dedolight lighting system will be followed by a week workshop in which each student will create a photo-story of his/her own choice. Each student will also have a possibility to work with both mentors and their equipment, learning about the usage of various lighting sources. Students will show their week-long work at the final screening on the last day of the workshop.
Expected foreknowledge: advanced photographic skills and good basic knowledge of halogen or flash lighting.
