Attracted by seemingly banal scenes which form most of our daily visual input but are usually ignored, I photograph everyday moments of visual poetry. A beautiful natural light or a haphazard combination of seemingly unrelated objects, lifting it out of banality, something that transcends the moment.

A camera phone has the advantage of being available at every moment. Large cameras often stay at home and to capture these everyday moments of beauty requires a camera. The iPhone camera is technically limited: low resolution, a tiny lens... Just a few things that make it unsuitable for high-end photos. On the other hand, the camera has a surplus in character. The result is often unpredictable and trying to make the same image again is a challenge. In this sense it is close to the instant photography of the Polaroid camera, one of my first crushes in photography.
